Author: It’s Tuesday & we’re flying high on global Satellite. As always loads of cool stuff from around the world as we spin you above the planet everyday. Today on Guy’s Flight I told you about the Virgin Atlantic Airways silent charity auction on their Japanese website www.virginatlantic.co.jp . You can bid for some very cool things (which you cannot usually buy) including funky spunky bags made from recycled Virgin Atlantic airlplane seats & seatbelts (!!) & a very big space book which only people who book space flights on the Virgin Galactic space ship can receive (!!) All of the money raised in the on-line auction goes to charity – but be quick – today is the last day. Oh yes we’re back at work on this Monday & I was thinking it could be a Mendokusai Monday but actually it’s a Happy Monday!! Because I’m loving the summertime feeling today. Today on Global Satellite I reported about Glstonbury Festival which just took place in the UK & there were many many happy people enjoying the summertime weather & music this past weekend. There were some sponteneous tributes to Michael Jackson at the festival & Bruce Springsteen headlined with a 2 & a half show Sunday night – a different feeling for Glastonbury this year. On Guy’s Flight today I’ll tell you about the huge Virgin Mobile summer music festival coming soon to the US & the good news this year it is free!! That’ll make a lot of people happy. Don’t forget Fuji Rock Festival & Summer Sonic are on the way for us here in Japan & I’ll be playing loads of music from the line-up everyday on Global Satellite. We had a very wet start to our Wednesday but I’m happy because summertime & summer music festivals are on the way!! Today is the first day of the most famous UK music festival Glastonbury Festival 2009 & I’m telling you all about the latest line-up on Guy’s Flight & my 20 Karat Music Mix features some of my favourite artists from the Glastonbury lineup. With all the rain in Tokyo today it made me want to roll around in a lot of mud & pretend I was at Glastonbury!!
