InterFMでは、2009年2月に行われた第51回グラミー賞を
生中継いたしました。2010年の第52回も受賞内容や
パフォーマンスの情報と会場の興奮をリアルタイムで
お伝えしていきます。前回のグラミー賞がどんな感じだったのか、
皆さんもチェックしてみてくださいね。
What's GRAMMY?
「National Academy of Recording Arts & Science」通称NARASが
主催し、1958年に第1回を開催。受賞者にグラモフォン（蓄音機）の
形をしたトロフィーが贈られることから一般にグラミー賞と呼ばれている。

第51回グラミー賞のビッグウィナーは、Robert Plant & Alison Krauss。彼らは通算5部門を獲得している。次いでLil Wayneが、4つのグラミーを受け取った。また新人のAdeleが健闘、Best New ArtistとBest Female Pop Vocal Performanceで栄冠を得ている。

本年最後の発表にして、2008年音楽界を代表するアルバム一枚に贈るAlbum of the Year。受賞したのは、Robert Plant & Alison Kraussの"Raising Sand"。彼らは今年通算5つのグラミーを獲得した。

Record of the Yearは、優れた作品を制作したアーティスト、プロデューサー、エンジニアならびにレコーディングミキサーに贈られる。有力ノミニーズの中から受賞したのはRobert Plant & Alison Kraussの"Please Read The Letter"。

毎年の最優秀新人に贈られるBest New Artist。過去にAlicia Keys、John Legend、Norah Jonesらの頭上に輝いているが、今年のブリティッシュパワーは留まることを知らず、Adeleが受賞した。

ハードロックやメタルを含むすべてのロックアルバムから最高の一枚を選ぶBest Rock Albumは、Coldplayの"Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends"。こちらも受賞は3部門目だ。

特別なレコーディングプロジェクトでコラボしたアーティストやバンドの演奏に贈られるBest Pop Collaboration With Vocals。受賞は、"Rich Woman"を歌ったRobert Plant & Alison Kraussだった。この時点で彼らは、3つめのグラミーを獲得したことになる。

いよいよ第51回グラミー賞授賞式が開幕。U2による新曲"Get on the Boots"のパフォーマンスに続いて、最初の部門Best R&B Albumに輝いたのはJennifer Hudsonだった。

日本時間午前9時までに、今年のグラミー賞109部門の中から99部門の発表が終わり、Adele、Robert Plant & Allison Klaus、Radiohead、Duffy、Lil Wayne等、有力ミュージシャンが各部門で受賞。成り行きが注目されたBest Reggae Albumは"Jah Is Real"でBurning Spearが獲得。InterFMでレギュラー番組を持つSoulJaが提供した青山テルマのヒット曲「そばにいるね feat. SoulJa」をカバーしたSly and Robbieのアルバム"Amazing" は、残念ながら受賞を逃した。

LAステイプルズ・センターで日本時間9日（月）朝に始まる第51回グラミー賞授賞式。「プレテレキャスト」と呼ばれるパート1で全109部門のうちほとんどの勝者が発表され、次いで午前10時から全世界に向けて中継されるパート2において、残る10部門と、その合間に数々のライブパフォーマンスが繰り広げられる。ラインアップはこちらに詳しいので参照されたい。
なお、「プレテレキャスト」の模様はgrammy.comで日本時間9日（月）午前6時からストリーミング中継される。視聴にはあらかじめ同サイトでビデオプラグインのインストールが必要だ。
