To support visitors from overseas, Ueno Zoo has opened “Tokyo Zoo Welcome Center" for a limited time next to the Higashi General Information Center. This information center provides information about the zoo and local tourist spots, as well as guided tours around the park in English and Chinese. Guided tour is held twice a day. The English tour starts at 10 a.m. and Chinese tour at 10:30 a.m. The afternoon tour is held at 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. respectively. Each tour will be available for 10 participants. If you wish to participate, please come to “Tokyo Zoo Welcome Center” before the starting times and consult the staff. Please note that the times may be changed or canceled depending on the park conditions and weather. Ueno Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with last entry at 4 p.m. The zoo is closed on Mondays. General admission is 600 yen and 300 yen for seniors aged 65 and over. To get there, take the JR lines to Ueno Station and walk around 5 minutes from the park exit.

上野動物園では、海外からの来園者により便利にご利用いただくため、東園総合案内所の隣に期間限定で「Tokyo Zoo Welcome Center」を設置しています。この案内所では主に訪日来園者を対象に、英語と中国語での対応可能なスタッフが園内や周辺観光施設の情報を提供するとともに、英語と中国語によるガイドツアーを実施しています。このガイドツアーは1日2回開催。午前の回は英語が10時、中国語は10時30分開始。午後の回は、英語が午後2時、中国語は午後2時30分から各回10名程度で実施しています。参加をご希望の方は、開始時間までにTokyo Zoo Welcome Centerまでお越しいただき、スタッフまでお申しつけください。なお、園内状況、天候などにより時間や回数の変更、または中止の場合がありますのでご了承ください。開園時間は9時30分～午後5時。最終入園は午後4時です。入園料は一般600円、65歳以上は300円。休園日は毎週月曜日です。上野動物園へのアクセスはJR上野駅 （公園口）から徒歩5分。
