The Tokyo Metropolitan Minami-Shinjuku Testing and Counseling Center, which provides anonymous, free HIV and syphilis testing, has moved to the East Exit of Shinjuku station. 

The center has also changed its name to "Tokyo Metropolitan Testing and Counseling Office (Shinjuku). 

This new facility now offers testing in Chinese and Korean, in addition to the existing services in English. 

Testing in English is offered daily, while testing in Chinese and Korean will only be available on Tuesday, March 23rd. 

From April onwards, they will be available on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. 

To use this service, appointments must be made in advance.

The declaration of a state of emergency will be lifted on March 21st, but the current situation in Tokyo remains critical. 

Infection prevention efforts will be eased in stages and we must continue our efforts to prevent infection. 

Everyone is asked to refrain from non-essential outings. 

Please keep meals short and limited to family members or the usual four people. 

Please also wear a mask when during conversations and remove them only for eating and drinking.

Also, from March 22nd to 31st, restaurants should only be open from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and serving of alcoholic beverages should be limited to 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.






Lastly, the Governor of Tokyo releases weekly reports in English on the latest COVID-19 impact and efforts in Tokyo.
