Topics for March 21st & 22nd

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has created a 360-degree VR videos titled [Mira(i)cle] in response to the request asking to "visit the areas and see the reconstruction progress" from Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures that suffered significant damage from the Great East Japan Earthquake. These videos help those who cannot make their ways to the affected areas understand and sympathize through the simulated experience of the damages and recovery. At the same time, the videos aim to express the philosophy of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics: "Recovery Olympics and Paralympics". A video has been made for each prefecture, Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima, and are about 2 minutes and 50 seconds long. The 360-degree VR videos [Mira(i)cle] are published and available on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s official video channel "Tokyo Douga", as well as YouTube. A video description in Japanese and English is also available on both pages.
