First, we have a fire safety reminder for businesses that remain closed at this time. The Tokyo Fire Department is calling on closed businesses to take the following fire prevention measures during their hiatus. 

Electrical accidents are a major cause of fires. Clumps of dust and moisture between the plug and the outlet can cause sudden fire breakouts through arc tracking. Please unplug any unused electrical appliances. Also, please take other safety measures to prevent fires and electrical accidents, such as checking that the main gas valve is properly closed, and that electrical wires are not bent or pressured by heavy objects. In order to prevent arson, please lock all external doors and windows securely, and do not leave highly flammable materials such as cardboard boxes around the premises. 

Additionally, in the event of fire, evacuation facilities such as emergency exits, corridors, stairs or passages must be kept clear and usable at all times. Fire protection equipment, such as fire doors and shutters, should always be kept closed and be operable, and clear of any flammable objects. If no one is present at the workplace, it can be difficult to control the fire at its early stages. Please take these measures to prevent fires from occurring and spreading.

事業所の休業に伴う火災予防についてのお知らせです。

東京消防庁では、営業自粛に伴い、当面の間、休業している事業所に対して、次のように火災予防を呼びかけています。

出火の主な原因は、電気関係です。　

プラグとコンセントの隙間にほこりや湿気が溜まって、突然出火するトラッキング現象が起こりやすくなります。使用していない電気器具の電源プラグを抜いておきましょう。

また、ガスの元栓がきちんと閉鎖されているか、電気配線が折れ曲がったり、重いものがのったりしていないか確認するなど、火気や電気の安全対策を行ってください。

また、事業所の施錠を確実に行い、事業所の周囲に、段ボールなどの可燃物を放置しないなど、放火防止の対策もしてください。

さらに、万が一、火災が起きた場合に備え、避難口、廊下、階段、通路などの避難施設や出入口に、物を置かないでください。

また、防火戸、防火シャッターなどの防火設備は、常に閉鎖、または、作動できるようにするとともに、防火設備の近くに可燃物を置かないでください。

誰もいないと初期消火が遅れ、延焼が拡大する恐れがありますので、以上のような対策をとって、火災を予防しましょう。
