First, we have information on "Summer Festival Opera 2019-20 Japan↔Tokyo↔World" Turandot show. This show is part of the cultural program “Tokyo Tokyo FESTIVAL” organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government toward 2020. Produced by Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and New National Theater, and performed in collaboration with local theaters, this is an international opera project showing Puccini’s opera "Turandot” in a completely new style and with the best casts. The Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, led and directed by the acclaimed conductor Kazushi Ono, will be touring and performing in Japan for the first time in 24 years. Shows dates for Tokyo Bunka Kaikan are from Friday, July 12th to Sunday, July 14th. Tickets for these 3 days are currently on sale. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been striving to ensure the safety of visitors at some of the municipal cultural facilities, through the enforcement of drills, in cooperation with the security and police institutions. However, terrorist attacks against soft targets is still frequent overseas, and with 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympic Games coming up, Tokyo has been strengthening security measures at the municipal cultural facilities. This year, in conjunction with the G20 Osaka Summit and Rugby World Cup 2019 Japan Games, our efforts on security measures will be further strengthened from the end of June to early November.  During that period, the efforts will extend to baggage inspection by security guards at the time of admission to each facility, use of metal detectors and increasing the frequency of inspection. Such measures will be in force at Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum, Edo Tokyo Museum, Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre. 東京都は、これまで都立文化施設で通常時の警備や警察機関等と連携した訓練の実施など、来館者等の安全確保に努めてきました。しかし、海外ではソフトターゲットに対するテロが依然として頻発しており、2020年東京オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会を控える中、都立文化施設などのセキュリティ対策を強化させていく必要があります。今年は、G20大阪サミットや、ラグビーワールドカップ2019日本大会の東京会場開催に合わせ、6月下旬から11月上旬まで、取組をさらに強化します。期間中は、各施設の入場時に警備員による目視による手荷物検査をはじめ、必要に応じた金属探知機の使用などにより規模を拡充し、実施いたます。対象となる施設は、東京都庭園美術館、江戸東京博物館、江戸東京たてもの園、東京都写真美術館、トーキョーアーツアンドスペース本郷、東京都美術館、東京文化会館、東京芸術劇場です。来館者の皆様には、ご不便等おかけいたしますが、ご理解とご協力をお願いいたします。
