The Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography is currently hosting "Moriyama Daido's Tokyo: ongoing," an exhibition by one of Japan's leading photographers, Moriyama Daido, known as a master of snapshots.

Moriyama has received countless international photography prizes, including the 2019 Hasselblad Award, and today, 55 years after his debut, he remains active at the forefront of the international photography scene.

Based on the theme of “ongoing,” this exhibition focuses on color and monochrome images he has progressively captured through his lens of urban Tokyo over time.

"Moriyama Daido's Tokyo: ongoing," exhibition is held through September 22nd. The museum is generally closed on Mondays. Restrictions on admissions will also apply to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

はじめに、写真展のお知らせです。

今、東京都写真美術館では、スナップショットの名手として知られる、日本を代表する写真家・森山大道さんの写真展「森山大道の東京ongoing」が、9月22日まで、開催されています。

森山大道さんは、2019年のハッセルブラッド国際写真賞を始めとする数々の国際的写真賞を受賞するなど、デビューから55年を経た今もなお、世界の第一線で活躍し続けています。

今回の写真展では、「ongoing＝進行中、進化し続ける」をテーマに、森山大道さんが、レンズを通してとらえ続けてきた街・東京を撮影したカラーとモノクロの作品が中心に展示されています。

なお、原則、月曜日は休館です。

また、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大防止の観点から、入場制限などを行います。

The number of recent coronavirus infections in Tokyo has been increasing in the nightlife entertainment district and during dinner at restaurants and bars.

Please refrain from going out to downtown areas at night. When dining out, please avoid eating and drinking for a long period of time and talking at close range or in loud voice.

続いて、この夏の新型コロナウイルス感染症対策についてのお願いです。

まず、特に高齢者の方は、感染症と同時に、熱中症にも気を付けながら、マスクの着用、手洗い、消毒、換気を徹底してください。       

買い物の際は、混雑した時間帯を避けてください。

また、若い方は、行動範囲が広く、無症状、軽症の方が多いため、本人も気づかないうちに、高齢者などに感染させる恐れがあります。「自分も感染しない、周りに感染させない」という意識をもって、慎重な行動をお願いします。

最後に、全ての年代の方へのお願いです。

夜の街や会食での感染も増えています。夜間の繁華街への外出を控えてください。

会食の際は、長時間の飲食、至近距離や大声での会話は控えてください。
