Starting from July, smartphone payment for water and sewage bills have become available. In addition to the accustomed payment methods by bank transfers and credit cards, cashless payment by smartphones has been introduced for the first time in Tokyo. Customers can now settle water and sewer bills with electronic money by reading the barcode on the bill with their smartphone camera. You can pay any time before the due date of the bill, and check your payment history on the dedicated app. Currently, LINE Pay and PayB can be used for smartphone payments, with more options scheduled to be added in the future. Receipts will not be issued for smartphone payments. If you need a receipt, please pay at a bank or convenience store. In addition to smartphone payments, some convenience stores accept other cashless payments, such as FamiPay and nanaco. Please note that payment with WAON can only be made at Ministop.

The Asia Junior Sports Exchange Games 2019 will be taking place again this year as one of the top sports events for young athletes who will lead their sports in the future. This time, junior teams including players with disabilities from 18 cities in Japan and abroad will participate in the exchange matches for table tennis and badminton held at Komazawa Olympic Park Stadium from Friday, August 30th through Sunday, September 1st. Athletes from abroad will also visit selected junior high schools in Tokyo to interact with the students. The event will be held at the Komazawa Olympic Park facility in Setagaya City, with the badminton games taking place at the Gymnasium and the table tennis matches at the Indoor Ball Sports Field. On the 31st and 1st of Septmber, the popular Tohoku Market will open at the venue with special shops and food stalls selling goods from the Tohoku region. この7月から、水道料金や下水道料金の請求書払いに、スマートフォン決済が利用できるようになりました。これまで口座振替やクレジットカード払いが可能でしたが、新たにスマートフォン決済によるキャッシュレス支払が、東京都で初めて開始となりました。支払い方法は、水道料金等の請求書に記載されているバーコードをスマートフォンのカメラで読み取り、電子マネーにより決済を行うことができます。請求書の支払期限内であれば、いつでもお支払いができますし、支払履歴は専用のアプリでいつでも確認いただけます。現在、利用可能なスマートフォン決済はLINE PayとPayBですが、今後は順次拡大を予定しています。なお、スマートフォン決済では、領収証書は交付されませんので、領収証書が必要な場合はコンビニエンスストアや金融機関でお支払いください。スマートフォン決済のほか、一部コンビニエンスストアでは、FamiPay、nanaco、そしてミニストップのみWAONで、キャッシュレス支払いが可能です。

次世代のアスリート達が出場するスポーツイベント【2019 ジュニアスポーツアジア交流大会】が今年も開催されます。今回は、障害者選手を含めた国内外18都市のジュニアチームが参加して、バドミントンと卓球の交流試合が駒沢オリンピック公園総合運動場で開催されます。また都内の中学校に海外の選手が訪問し、生徒と文化交流も行います。開催日は、8月30日（金）から9月1日（日）まで。バトミントンは体育館、卓球は屋内球技場で行われます。毎年好評の東北物産展も31日と1日の2日間開催します。その他、来場された方に楽しんでいただけるイベントも用意しています。入場は無料です。詳しくは、大会専用ホームページ http://jsa2019.jp/ をご覧ください。英語でも情報を掲載しています。
