The census is the country's most important statistical survey of all people living in Japan and is conducted once every five years.

Responses can be submitted online or by filling out a survey form and submitting it by postal mail.

Starting Monday, September 14th, census takers will distribute the survey documents by putting them into your mailbox.

The document will also include necessary IDs and passwords for online submission.

Internet responses will be accepted from Monday, September 14th, and mail-in responses will be accepted from Thursday, October 1st.

Please use the method most convenient for you and fill out your data by Wednesday, October 7th.

To help prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, we kindly ask that you consider sending the survey document via the Internet.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

はじめに、国勢調査についてのお知らせです。

今年は、5年に一度の国勢調査の年です。国勢調査は、日本に住んでいるすべての人を対象に行われる、国の最も重要な統計調査です。

回答は、インターネット、または、調査票に記入の上、郵送での提出をお願いします。

9月14日（月）から、調査員が、順次各家庭に、インターネット回答に必要なID、パスワード、及び、調査票を郵便受けにお配りします。

インターネットでの回答は、9月14日（月）から、郵送での回答は、10月1日（木）からお願いします。

いずれも、回答期限は、10月7日（水）までです。

新型コロナウイルス感染症対策のため、できるだけ、インターネットでの回答をお願いします。

When there is a risk of a huge typhoon or heavy rain, please start preparing for evacuation, including taking shelter at home, while taking measures to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus infection.

Check the hazard map of your area to ensure your home is safe to stay in and be sure to stock up on necessary items for emergencies.

If you need to evacuate your home, consider moving to a friend or relative's house as soon as possible before the local government issues an evacuation advisory.

If you must evacuate to an emergency shelter, bring a mask, thermometer, water, food, medicine, disinfectant and other supplies.

If it’s too dangerous to go outside, take shelter in a safe room in the building or go to the upper level of a sturdy building nearby.

Please do everything you can to protect yourself from natural disasters.

続いて、風水害時等の避難についてのお知らせです。

台風、大雨などの時は、新型コロナウイルス感染症対策をとりながら、自宅に留まる在宅避難も含めて、適切な避難行動を検討しましょう。

お住まいの地域のハザードマップを確認の上、自宅が安全な場合は、在宅避難も可能です。いざという時のために、必要な物を備蓄しておきましょう。

避難が必要な場合は、自治体からの避難情報発令前に、知人や親せきの家などに早めに自主避難することを検討しましょう。

避難所への避難が必要になった場合は、マスク、体温計、水、食料、薬、消毒液などを持参しましょう。

屋外への避難が危険な場合は、建物内の安全な部屋や近くの頑丈な建物の上層部へ避難しましょう。

命を守るため、最善の行動をとりましょう。
