This week’s edition is on COVID-19 vaccinations.

For the last three years, COVID-19 has been prevalent at year end and New Year.

As well as taking basic infection control measures such as hand-washing and ventilation, it is recommended that people over the age of 65, as well as others at risk of severe symptoms, get vaccinated.

It takes a certain amount of time after vaccination for the effects to be recognized, so please get vaccinated as soon as possible.

In the weeks ahead, more people will be meeting up, as they attend year-end parties and head home for the year-end and New Year holidays. 

To ensure a safe holiday season, young people should also consider getting vaccinated.

Reservations for COVID-19 vaccinations can be made online or by calling the ‘Yokohama COVID-19 Vaccine Reservation Call Center’.

Calls will be handled in eight languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepali, Spanish, and Portuguese. 

The telephone number is 0120-045-112 and the Center is open Monday to Saturday, from 9am-5pm.
