This spring too, flowers and greenery will fill Yokohama with colour. 

“Garden Necklace Yokohama 2021” is an event where the city’s pretty flowers and greenery link “the town, people, and time” together, like beads on a necklace.

Today, I'll be introducing the highlights of [Satoyama Garden].

The main feature, “Huge Flowerbeds filled with the colors of Yokohama Flowers” is a roughly 10,000 square meter flower field, one of the biggest in the city.

Visitors can enjoy the sight of 300,000 Yokohama-grown pansies and violas of around 140 varieties filling the flowerbeds with the lively, bright colours of spring. 

“The Welcome Garden”, which greets visitors on arrival, is designed and curated by Masashi Mikami, the PR ambassador for Yokohama’s flowers and greenery. 

Fruit, vegetables and edible flowers are used as accents in the flowerbed to convey the bounty of spring, instilling a feeling of happiness in those who see it. 

At the plaza by the main entrance, there are food trucks that use agricultural produce from Yokohama City. 

Please enjoy them along with ‘Forest Adventure Yokohama’ and ‘Trail Adventure Yokohama’.
