Filing a Tax Return / Public Use of School Indoor Pools

The final income tax return is when you declare your income for January to December of the previous year at your local tax office, and the tax already deducted from your income, as well as taxes paid based on estimated tax prepayments, is adjusted. 


Those that are required to file a tax return must do so at the tax office for their jurisdiction between Tuesday 16th February and Monday 15th March.

School indoor swimming pools are available for use throughout the year by those who live or work in Minato City. 


The pool charge for 2 hours is 500 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary, junior high and high school students.


For details on which school pools are open and on what dates, please check the February edition of Minato Monthly or the Minato City website. 

You can also see a scheduled opening hours list at any public facility.


Minato City residents can use the pools for free on the first and third Sundays of each month. 


For people of high school age and above, a registration card is required to use the pools. 

The card can be issued at the pool reception so please bring ID that proves you live or work in Minato city.
