The Minato City Secretariat of the Board of Education is sending out enrollment notifications to families of children who will enroll in Minato municipal elementary or junior high schools in April 2021.
The enrollment notification must be submitted to the school, so please store it carefully.
If you have yet to receive it or have lost it, please enquire.
Those eligible for notifications are as follows:
• For children enrolling in the first grade of elementary school: those born between 2nd April 2014 and 1st April 2015
• For children enrolling in the first grade of junior high school: those born between 2nd April 2008 and 1st April 2009.
If you are enrolling in a national, metropolitan, or private elementary or junior high school etc, please submit your letter of acceptance (written permission).
If you are a foreign national who would like to enroll in a Minato municipal elementary or junior high school and have not yet completed the necessary procedures, please enquire in Japanese.
Enquiries should be made to the School Administration Support Subsection of the School Affairs Section at Minato City Hall.
Minato City creates materials such as pamphlets and leaflets that provide multilingual information on systems and rules that are helpful for navigating daily life.
The pamphlets and leaflets are distributed in a bag as a ‘welcome package’ to people who visit Minato City Hall to register as residents, but they are also available at Multilingual Infomation Corners.
Available languages are English, Korean, and Chinese.
Some materials are not available in certain languages.
The Corners are located on the first floor of Shiba Regional City Office and the area in front of Counter 304 on the 3rd Floor of Minato City Hall.
