Minato City publishes ‘Minato Monthly’, an English newsletter, on the first of each month. It contains information on administrative services and local events, health check notices, and a library events calendar etc.

Minato Monthly is available at Minato City Hall, facilities in Minato City, and at the main post offices and some subway stations. It is also delivered along with subscriptions of the Japan Times and the International New York Times, and can be viewed on the Minato City website too.

If you are a resident of Minato City, you can get it delivered to your home for free.  If you would like to make use of this service, please apply through the Minato City website.

The subsection in charge at Minato City Hall is the Public Relations Subsection of the Office of the Mayor.

●Minato City Consultation Service for Foreign Residents

This is a consultation counter for foreign residents of Minato City who are having problems with the city’s administrative services or in daily life.

Consultations are available in English only.

The counter is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to midday and from 1pm to 5pm, except on national holidays.

●Metropolitan Government Consultation Service for Foreign People

This service provides advice for foreigners who live in Tokyo on matters such as Japan's customs, culture and social system, immigration, and family.

Consultation is available from 9:30am to midday and from 1pm to 5pm on the following days:

English: Monday-Friday, tel. 03-5320-7744

Korean: Wednesdays, tel. 03-5320-7700

Chinese: Tuesdays and Fridays, tel. 03-5320-7766

There is no consultation on national holidays.
