This week's edition starts with information on 'The Fureai Festival, Shiba District!'.
At this event, people of the Shiba District deepen community exchanges by setting up stalls and taking part in concerts. Enjoy a fun day of crafts, games, and stamp rallies etc. The Shiba District mascots will be there too.
The Fureai Festival is an opportunity for participating groups and people in the community to interact more with eachother, as well as think about the environment through the re-use of crockery etc.
The date and time of the festival will be Saturday 8th June from 10am to 3pm. It will go ahead as planned in the event of light rain, but will be cancelled in rough weather.
The venue will be Shiba Municipal Park, located at 4-8-4 Shiba Koen, Minato City.

Next, information on ‘Minato Disaster Prevention Festa’ - a chance to learn about disaster prevention in English and basic Japanese.
Minato City will hold the disaster prevention festa at Roppongi Hills Arena from 11am-4pm on Sunday 9th June. Visitors will be able to learn how to prepare for and deal with disasters through experiences such as earthquake simulations in Virtual Reality trucks and learning how to use the disaster message phone service as well as call an ambulance. A stamp rally will also be held at the venue, and visitors who take part in certain programs will receive a souvenir.
Volunteer interpreters will also be at the venue, providing support in English and basic Japanese, so don’t miss this opportunity to have fun learning about disaster prevention.
