School indoor swimming pools are available for use throughout the year by those who live or work in Minato City.

The pools at the following 7 schools are open: Konan Elementary School, Honmura Elementary School, Akasaka Elementary School, Onarimon Junior High School, Takamatsu Junior High School, Koryo Junior High School, and Odaiba Gakuen Koyo Junior High School.

The pool charge for up to 2 hours is 500 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary, junior high and high school students. Minato City residents can use the pools for free on the first and third Sundays of each month.

For details such as opening dates and times, please check the Minato City website or the scheduled opening hours list posted at public facilities.

For people of high school age and above, a registration card is required to use the pools.

The card can be issued at the pool reception so please bring ID that proves you live or work in Minato city.

The subsection in charge at Minato City Hall is the Sports Promotion Subsection of the Lifelong Learning Sports Promotion Section.

Please sort recyclables and waste properly by type, and place it at collection points by 8am (or 7:30am in some areas) on the designated collection day.

It should be separated into the following categories: recyclable plastics, recyclables, burnable waste, non-burnable waste, and large-sized waste.

Large-sized waste collection requires application separately.

The collection days and times, collection places, and disposal methods differ for each category.

Please follow the rules for recyclables and waste disposal, so all city residents can live comfortably.

For further details on recyclables and waste disposal methods and collection days, please see the ‘Sorting Recyclables and Waste Guidebook’, the ‘Garbage Sorting App’, or the Minato City website.

The subsection in charge at Minato Recycling and Waste Management Office is the Waste Reduction/Recycling Promotion Subsection.
