Enrollment applications for foreign children who wish to enroll in municipal elementary and junior high schools in April 2021, will be accepted at the School Affairs Section on the 7th Floor of Minato City Hall from 1st October. 

Please take identification such as a residence card that verifies the names, address and dates of birth of the child and the guardian.

The application process is handled in Japanese, so if you require interpretation, please get a Japanese speaker to accompany you.

Tablet devices for using a video interpretation service are available to borrow at the Community Promotion Section on the 3rd Floor of Minato City Hall.

Minato City uses the School Selection System.

The Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign is being held from Monday 21st - Wednesday 30th September.

This year’s slogan is ‘TOKYO - Aiming to be the World’s No. 1 City for Traffic Safety’.

The main objectives are as follows:

1)    Ensuring safety for pedestrians, starting with children, and ensuring the safe use of bicycles.

2)    Enforcing safe driving by drivers including the elderly. 

3)    Preventing traffic accidents at dusk or at night, and preventing drink driving.

4)    Preventing traffic accidents involving bicycles and motorbikes.

Each and every one of us should follow the correct traffic rules and manners in our daily lives to reduce traffic accidents. 

The section in charge is the Community Transportation Subsection of Minato City’s Community Transportation Section.
