Minato City publishes ‘Minato Monthly’, an English newsletter, on the first of each month. 

It contains information on administrative services and local events, as well as health check notices etc. Minato Monthly is available at Minato City Hall, Regional City Offices, and at each city library. 

It is also available at the main post offices in Minato City and at some subway stations. 

It is delivered along with subscriptions of the Japan Times and the International New York Times, and can be viewed on the Minato City website too.

The newsletter can also be sent free of charge to the homes of Minato City residents.

Calls will be accepted between 8am and 8pm.

Disaster and Emergency information is provided in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean, through Twitter and Facebook.

Links to the Twitter and Facebook accounts are provided on the Minato City website, so please use them.

Operators at the Minato City call center, or ‘Minato Call’, respond to enquiries about the content of Minato City’s administrative services and provide information on city events, how to get to city facilities and the opening hours of those facilities.

Enquiries are dealt with not just in Japanese, but in English too. 

Staff respond to multiple enquiries relating to different sections as well, so please feel free to use this service. 

It is available 365 days a year from 8am to 8pm. 

Please be aware that some events and courses may have different acceptance times for advance bookings and applications etc.
