Minato City offers partial subsidies for children’s influenza vaccinations to prevent the onset of influenza and worsening of influenza symptoms.

Those eligible are children from 6 months old to 3rd grade of junior high school, who reside in Minato City.

A yellow notification and consultation postcard was sent out at the end of September.

Medical institutions where the consultation card can be used are listed on the Minato City website.

The subsidy period is until 31st January 2022.

The subsidies are available twice for children aged 6 months to 6th grade of elementary school, and once for junior high school students.

The subsidy amount is around ¥3,000 per vaccination.

Please note that vaccinations will not be possible for 13 days before or after receiving a Covid19 vaccination.

Minato City offers influenza vaccinations for people aged 65 or older. 

Pre examination slips were sent out at the end of September to those who qualify for a flu shot.

You should consult your doctor and if you want a vaccination, get vaccinated early, before it gets cold, in preparation for flu season.

The vaccination period is until 31st January 2022.

The flu vaccination requires only one jab, which is free of charge.

However, if you forget to take your pre examination slip, you will be charged for the vaccination.

Vaccinations will be carried out at designated medical facilities in Tokyo's 23 wards.
