This week’s edition begins with information on Reading Week.

Reading Week is from 27th October - 9th November.

Libraries in Minato City lend out books, CDs, DVDs and videotapes. 

Anyone who lives, works, or studies in one of Tokyo’s 23 wards can use the libraries.

When using the libraries for the first time, please take ID such as your My Number Card, driving license, health insurance card, worker ID, or student ID.

Opening hours are from 9am to 8pm Monday-Saturday, and from 9am to 5pm on Sundays, national holidays and 28th December. 

Opening hours at Takanawa Library Annex are from 9:30am-8pm every day, except national holidays when it is closed. 

Please note that there are some other days when the library is closed too.

Minato City offers partial subsidies for children’s influenza vaccinations. 

Those eligible are children up to 3rd grade of junior high school who reside in Minato City and are between the ages of 6 months and 15 years as of 31st December 2020.

The subsidy amount is up to ¥3,000 per vaccination, and the subsidy period is until 31st January 2021.
