Minato City is accepting enrollment applications for foreign children who wish to enroll in the first year of municipal elementary and junior high schools in April 2021.
Those eligible to enroll in elementary schools are children who were born between 2nd April 2014 and 1st April 2015.
Those eligible to enroll in junior high schools are children who were born between 2nd April 2008 and 1st April 2009.
Please take proof of the child’s name, address and date of birth, as well as personal identification for the guardian, such as a residence card.
If you wish to enroll your child, please enquire in Japanese with the School Administration Support Subsection of th
School Affairs Section at Minato City Hall.

16th November - 15th December is ‘Tokyo HIV Prevention Month’, and 1st December is ‘World AIDS Day’.
The onset of AIDS occurs when the immune system is compromised due to HIV infection.
If HIV is left untreated, it will typically progress to AIDS within a few years to a dozen or so years.
AIDS medications have progressed to the point where they can suppress the onset of the disease, allowing you to live a normal life, if you start the appropriate treatment early.
Getting tested leads to early detection and onset prevention.
It is also important to know if you are HIV positive in order to prevent transmitting the virus to other people.
Anonymous testing is available free of charge at Minato Public Health Center and at medical institutions in Minato City, so why not take this opportunity to get tested.
