The Citizens’ Consultation Section of the Public Relations and Public Hearings Division at the Bureau of Citizens and Cultural Affairs provides consultations on daily life for foreigners who reside in Tokyo.

English: Monday to Friday, Tel 03-5320-7744

Chinese: Tuesdays and Fridays, Tel 03-5320-7766

Korean: Wednesdays, Tel 03-5320-7700

All the lines are open on weekdays from 9:30am - midday, and from 1pm-5pm, excluding national holidays and at year end/new year.

The subsection in charge at Minato City Hall is the Human Rights and Gender Equality Subsection of the General Affairs Section.

Minato City publishes ‘Minato Monthly’, an English newsletter, on the first of each month. It contains information on Minato City’s administrative services and local events, as well as health check notices etc.

Minato Monthly is available at Minato City Hall, regional city offices, each Minato City library, and at the main post offices and stations in Minato City.

It is also delivered along with subscriptions of the Japan Times/International New York Times, and can be viewed on the Minato City website too.

The newsletter can also be sent free of charge to the homes of Minato City residents.
