Shinagawa City is holding an event called ‘Let’s Lower Mid-Summer Temperatures by 2℃! (The Great Water Sprinkling Campaign Shinagawa 2023)’

Why not use recycled water, such as leftover bathwater, to conduct the Edo Period custom of 'Uchimizu' (Water Sprinkling) at home.

The city is lending out uchimizu equipment such as dippers and buckets, and is handing out cooling towel scarves as souvenirs.

The distribution of souvenirs will end when stocks run out.

The event will continue until 23rd August, when the peak of the summer heat is over.

Let’s sprinkle water uchimizu-style to bring a cool breeze to the city in mid-summer!

品川区では、「真夏の気温を2℃下げよう！『打ち水大作戦しながわ2023』」を実施しています。

お風呂の残り湯などの再利用水を使い、江戸の暮らしの知恵である打ち水を、各家庭で行ってみませんか。

ひしゃくやおけなどの打ち水用品の貸し出しや、記念品であるクールマフラータオルの配布を行っています。

記念品の配布は、在庫がなくなり次第終了となります。

期間は、8月23日処暑までです。

打ち水で、真夏の街に涼しい風を吹かせましょう！
