September is ‘World Alzheimer’s Month’ and ‘Dementia Month’.

Using orange, a symbolic colour for dementia, Shinagawa City will hold the "Shinagawa Thinking Together Orange Project ~Orange Festa 2023~".

The date and time of the event will be Sunday 10th September, from 2pm - 7pm, and the venue will be Shinagawa Central Park, in front of Shinagawa City Office.

The event will feature orange candle-making, a dementia quiz aimed at children, a dementia cafe booth, and sales of creative works by people with dementia.

As well as this, a variety of initiatives will be undertaken, such as planting orange flowers, exhibiting panels on dementia supporter activities, and lighting up bridges in Shinagawa City.

品川区からのお知らせです。

9月は、「世界アルツハイマー月間」・「認知症月間」です。

品川区では、認知症のシンボルカラーのオレンジ色を用いた、「しながわ　みんなで想う　橙プロジェクト　～オレンジフェスタ2023～」を開催します。

日時は、9月10日（日曜日）午後2時～午後7時まで、場所は、品川区役所前のしながわ中央公園です。

内容は、オレンジキャンドル作り、子ども向け認知症クイズ、認知症カフェブース、認知症当事者による創作物販売などです。

そのほか、オレンジ色の花の植栽、認知症サポーター活動パネル展示、品川区内の橋のライトアップなど、さまざまな取り組みを行います。
