This week’s edition is on the "Subsidy System for Children’s Medical Expenses", which was expanded in June.

Yokohama City’s expansion in June of the "Subsidy System for Children’s Medical Expenses", means that out-of-pocket medical costs are now zero for children up to and including the age of 18. This means that even during periods when children are prone to falling ill or when you’re a little worried about your child, you can now visit medical institutions with greater peace of mind than before.

Medical certificates were sent out to eligible households in late May.

If you have received one, please remember to take it with you when visiting a medical institution.

Yokohama City will continue to support families raising children and work to create a city where everyone can live worry free.

Please note that those who completed the registration process for moving into Yokohama City on or after 26th April this year will need to submit an application separately.
