Covid-19 Vaccinations

PSA Yokohama
2023/02/15

Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City

15th February 2023

This week’s edition is on COVID-19 vaccinations.

Yokohama City’s group vaccination sites will all close by Saturday 25th February.

Currently, vaccinations are being carried out at three venues - the Center Minami venue, the Totsuka venue and the Yokohama Station West Exit venue. Only four vaccination days are left: Friday 17th, Saturday 18th, Friday 24th and Saturday 25th February. If you would like to be vaccinated at a group vaccination site, please make a reservation as soon as possible.

Vaccinations are available at individual medical institutions until the end of March.

At the moment, the free vaccination period is until the end of March.

The government is considering the provision of vaccinations from April onwards, but if you want to get vaccinated, the recommendation is that you do so in March when vaccinations are definitely taking place.

The Omicron strain vaccine is currently a one-time vaccination.

Please note that if you have already received the vaccination as your 3rd, 4th, or 5th dose, you will not be able to receive another dose, and therefore will not be sent a new vaccination ticket, regardless of the number of times you have been vaccinated.

For general enquiries about vaccination, please call the ‘Yokohama COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center’. Calls will be handled in eight languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepali, Spanish, and Portuguese.

The telephone number is 0120-045-070. Calls will be answered between 9am and 7pm every day.
