Information on New Coronavirus Vaccinations

Yokohama City is making preparations at various locations across the city for coronavirus vaccinations.

Foreigners who are registered as residents in Yokohama City will be able to get vaccinated.

People aged 16 and above are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.


The city will be sending out packs consisting of a vaccination guide, a vaccination coupon, and a pre-examination slip in due course. 

This will be done in order, starting with senior citizens aged 65 and over.

Vaccinations will require advance reservation and will be available free of charge.

The city will announce when the information packs will be sent out and when inoculations will be available on the Yokohama City website.


Please note that government agencies and hospitals will not request money or personal information for vaccinations, so please beware of fraud. 

Vaccination is not compulsory and will only be performed with the consent of the recipient.


For vaccination related enquiries, please call the ‘Yokohama City New Coronavirus Vaccination Call Center’. 

Calls will be handled in four languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean. 

The telephone number is 0120-045-070 and calls will be answered between 9am and 7pm every day, including on weekends and national holidays. 

For people who are hard of hearing, questions are being dealt with by FAX.
