Information on COVID-19 4th Dose Vaccinations

PSA Yokohama
2022/06/01

Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City

1st June 2022

4th dose vaccinations have begun.

Vaccination tickets for the 4th dose started being sent out on May 20th.

Eligibility for 4th vaccinations is limited to those for whom 5 months have passed since receiving the 3rd vaccination and who are either (1) aged 60 or older, (2) aged 18-59 and have an underlying disease or are recognized by a doctor as being at high risk of developing severe symptoms.

Yokohama City will send out vaccination tickets to over 18s who received their 3rd vaccination at least 5 months ago, but please note that for those under the age of 60, eligibility is contingent on criteria such as having an underlying disease.

Japan is considering 4th dose vaccinations for people who are not currently eligible, so it is possible that you may need your vaccination ticket at a later date.

Even if you are not eligible for the shot at the moment, please keep your vaccination ticket and put it in a safe place.

As a general rule, vaccination tickets will be sent out about 3 weeks before the 5 month mark since your 3rd vaccination.

You can make a reservation once you have received your vaccination ticket.

The reservation method is the same as before.

Details are also provided in the information sent with the vaccination ticket.
